Help with Visual Display and Performance
*Note that the search function is not currently developed to operate on very small devices such as phones.
One specific problem that may occur with the Internet Explorer browser is that some design elements -- for example, the “icons” used in header bars at the tops of the pages--may not display properly.
If you find that the icons on the site are not being displayed, you may have to change your security settings. You can first try to enable the settings that allow the icons to be downloaded:
- Click on the Settings button (this is the gear icon in the top right corner of the window)
- Click on the Internet options menu option
- Click on the Security tab
- Click on the Custom Level button
- Scroll to Downloads and find 'Font download' and click the 'Enable' checkbox
If that setting is not editable, your organization may have set a policy that does not allow Internet Explorer to download the page icons. In this case, you will have to add our site to your 'trusted zone':
- Click on Settings button (this is the gear icon in the top right corner of the window)
- Click on the Internet options menu option
- Click on the Security tab
- Click on Trusted sites (in the box at the top, with the green checkmark)
- Click on the Sites button
- Enter the website address for our site (http://ccdf.urban.org/)
- Click the Add button
