The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Policies Database

The CCDF Policies Database is a single source of information on the detailed rules for States’ and Territories’ child care subsidy programs under the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF). Key areas of policy covered by the database include family eligibility, application and redetermination, priorities and waiting lists, family payments, provider requirements, and reimbursement rates.

The information is:

  • Currently available for the period from October 2009 through October 2019
  • Available for every State and five Territories
  • Consistently coded across time and across places
  • Coded from written policy materials, with key data reviewed by State/Territory staff

You can access the information in three ways:

  • Through tables in the annual report (Book of Tables)
  • Through the search tool
  • Through full data files
